Bargaining is expected by most vendors in the villages, and one should politely but firmly negotiate in order to get the best prices on the items he or she wishes to purchase. Those interested in the celebrated Cypriot lace may wish to visit the smaller villages where it can be found at a reasonable price.
Many tourists enjoy viewing the intriguing medieval churches which date back to the 15th century. The churches of Agia Kyriaki and Agios Andronikos are two of the most popular. The Aphrodite and Adonis hiking trails may interest the nature lover, as they wind through both healthy forest vegetation, as well as the ancient ruins of the area.

The Baths of Aphrodite are a must see. The natural limestone from which they are carved are one of their most extraordinary features.
